Our mission is to promote an appreciation for and preservation of the natural environment and cultural heritage of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

The Friends mission statement guides the
Board of Directors as they determine what projects
within the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore
will be supported each year.

Some projects, printing of the Park newsletter for example,
simply require money. Thanks to the generous support
of Friends Members those projects continue to be on-going.

Other projects require volunteer time, and the
opportunity to join other supporters of these Islands
out on the Islands "doing something meaningful."
