In the darkest times, the stars shine the brightest. But, making dreams come true takes more than wishing on a star. It also takes planning, organizing, and hard work. That’s where your support of Friends comes in.

At Friends of the Apostle Islands we have dreams of:

■ An Apostle Islands National Lakeshore that is a leader in accessibility through our Access for All efforts;

■ Safe, informed boating through our Wave Watch program;

■ Celebrating and protecting the star-filled island nights with our Dark Sky Star Bright Festival (January 17-25th, 2026);

■ A strong and growing cadre of volunteers to plant the lighthouse gardens, do trail work, limit invasive species, and keep our Islands safe and healthy;

■ Helping a whole new generation fall in love with the islands through our Education and Outreach efforts and support of local programs and National Park publications.

With your help and support, together we can do more than wish, we can continue to work toward making these dreams a reality. So go ahead, wish upon a star, and then join us in making them come true by supporting Friends of the Apostle Islands. All donations over $25 include your annual membership. Be a star. Support Friends today.

Sincerely,
