POSTPONED-Apostle Islands 50th Anniversary Resource Stewardship Symposium

**On Friday, March 13, the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore postponed its 50th Anniversary Resource Stewardship Symposium originally set for March 30-31. Julie Van Stappen, chief of planning and resource management, said the National Lakeshore is following best advice about protecting public health. The National Lakeshore is keeping an Aug. 27 anniversary event at Big Top Chautauqua on its schedule, and the symposium will be rescheduled for fall when presenters return from their Apostle Islands field assignments. Other decisions that might affect access to the National Lakeshore are now being made at the federal level, Van Stappen said.**

Join us for presentations and discussions about the ongoing scientific research happening in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Here from students and faculty at Northland College as well as representatives from a variety of agencies engaged in learning more about Lake Superior and this region. We will post more information about the schedule of presenters as plans are finalized. More information will also be available on the Northland College website at
